CIDAS (Cord Insulating & Damping System) was developed for Special range-topper cables. BRC conductors and PVC cords of the same diameter are configured next nearest around a central PVC cord in a hexagonal structure with maximum packing factor ensuring highest conformity and an exact round profile for perfect dielectric binding and jacket concentricity. Interleaving cords are made of SPVC with low dielectric permeability and high mechanical decrement.
CIDAS provides efficient conductor damping and drastically reduces electro-dynamic noise, caused by conductor’s vibration and movement in the Earth’s magnetic field. The symmetrical spatial conductor straddling decreases cable distributed capacitance and ensures an effortless energy transmission with better dynamic shifts rendering, perceptible gains in transient speed and texture.
